The history of sun worship, so seemingly alien to the Western mind, has, in fact, manifested itself in Christianity in many ways like the story of Jesus in the Gospels. Very little was known about the life of Jesus, each and every writing style of the Midrash (searching past scriptures for “clues” of how they might apply to the present) to discern the history of the Zodiac and its constellations were used to complete which was clearly missing from the literal record.

Consider our “modern” terms, Horizon and Sunset. These terms contradict its ancient history. Horus-sun (Horizon) was dawn as Horus was the Egyptian god of light and the daylight part of the 24-hour cycle. Set, was the god of darkness and night. He entered the scene in “Sun Set” and is the jackal-headed god of the Egyptian underworld. When we say “what a beautiful sunset”, we do not realize that we are speaking as it was spoken in ancient Egypt. Darkness was the time of Set, god of darkness. The night was not a good time in most ancient mythologies. That is why many priests would stand each morning acting as if by means of an incantation and a wave of their arms they could bring back the Sun / Son of the Underworld from darkness and fear. The sun descending into hell is something he did every sunset. There was relief every morning when the sun / son was reborn.

Set murdered Osiris and, in turn, Horus, son of Osiris, killed Set. The sunrise in the Horus-Sun defeats the night that began with the sunset. Pretty cool, huh? Jesus fights Satan (Set or Sata) in the same way that Horus fights Set. Everything is dualism. It is light and dark, good and bad, God and Satan.

“Set kills Osiris and scatters his body, then claims the throne of the gods for himself. He is later brought down by Horus, the son of Osiris, who restores order to the world and establishes the pharaohs as guardians of Maat. Set and Horus continue to fight for control of the world, setting up an epic conflict of good versus evil. ” (Light and dark) David C. Scott’s website. Gods and Mythology of Egypt.

Consider the fact that Jesus is surrounded by 12 disciples and the events of Jesus’ life are like the Sun of God surrounded by the 12 signs of the Zodiac that form the sun’s path through the heavens in one year. Just as the 12 sons of Jacob and the 12 tribes of Israel are personifications of astro-theology and are in fact references to the zodiac and the story it tells. We may no longer look at the heavens, and we know very little about the zodiac, the characters, and the revolving story they tell, but our ancestors read the heavens like we read books today.

For example, many of the world’s crucified godmen have their traditional birthdays on December 25 (“Christmas”). This was a basic understanding that we had in WCG and it was not out of line. Today, there are many times more material to show this connection.

This is because the ancients recognized that (from a terrestrial perspective) the sun makes an annual descent south until December 21 or 22, the winter solstice, when it stops moving south for three days and then begins to move north again. During this time, the ancients declared that “the sun of God” had “died” for three days and was “born again” on December 25. So Christmas is truly the SUN / SON’s birthday in every way.

The ancients realized abundantly that they needed the sun to come back every day and that they would be in big trouble if the sun continued to move south and did not stop and change direction. Therefore, these many different cultures celebrated the birthday of the “sun of God” on December 25th.

In reality, the sun “dies” for three days on December 22, the winter solstice, when it stops moving south, to be born again or resurrect on December 25, when it starts moving north again. During those three days it could be said that the Sun is in the grave.

In December, the Virgin, the constellation Virgo precedes sunrise and thus, “Behold, a Virgin will give birth to the sun / son”, would be part of the story in heaven. Matthew literalized the story by looking in Isaiah for a story about a young woman that had virtually nothing to do with the prophecy of a literal virgin birth or with Jesus himself.

Remember the alternate explanation from Isa. 14 and “how have you fallen, oh Lucifer, (the Bringer-Venus light precedes the sunrise), your resplendent and morning star” (Venus). Remember how Venus seems to ascend and then descend back to earth and how this IS the origin of the story of Satan’s fall from trying to ascend to the Throne of God, which is astro-theologically NOON. Everyone sees “Satan falling like lightning from heaven” at one point or another during the year if they know what Venus looks like just before sunrise in the Sun of Horus, or even shortly after sunset.

Something so brilliant caught the attention of humanity and the stories of its apparent movement followed and then were literalized by the theologically ignorant. Venus always was and always will be a planet in the inner orbit between the Earth and the Sun. It behaves the way it does because it is the way it is. Entire theologies have arisen around what could not then be explained but can now be easily explained. Once you have the true explanation, you can rule out the false one.

The story of Jesus in the gospels can also be the story of the Sun / Son of God.

The sun is the “Light of the world”. Like Jesus.

The sun “comes over the clouds, and every eye will see it.” Like Jesus.

The sun that rises in the morning is the “Savior of humanity.” Like Jesus.

The sun wears a crown, “crown of thorns” or halo. Like Jesus.

The sun “walks on water”. Like Jesus.

The sun can turn water (rain) into wine (grapes) just like Jesus.

The “followers”, “helpers” or “disciples” of the sun are the 12 months and the 12 signs of the zodiac or constellations, through which the sun must pass. Like Jesus.

The sun at 12 noon is in the house or temple of the “Most High”; therefore, “he” begins “his Father’s work” at the “age” of 12 years. Like Jesus.

The sun enters each sign of the zodiac at 30 °; (30×12 = 360 degrees) therefore, the “Sun of God” begins his ministry at “age” 30. Like Jesus.

The sun is hung on a cross or “crucified”, which represents its passage through the equinoxes, the spring equinox being Easter, at which time it is resurrected. Like Jesus.

Consider the following.

The rejection of the grain offering of Cain (agricultural goddess and the recognition of the fertility of the religions that surround Israel) and the acceptance of the offering of Abel (roast meat) was a symbol of the change that would come in Israel from the Matriarchy and the religion based on women, to the Patriarchate, Priesthood and worship and sacrifices in cult temples. The story is not true, the message was clear! Women are now property and men own them, regardless of what the surrounding “pagan” nations practice or respect in the mysteries of the feminine and fertility. (sex if you must know!)

Little has changed in the Christian Patriarchate since then, which is why for years I allowed myself to say the words “who gives to this woman …” at marriage ceremonies. I stopped including that in the wedding ceremony at the end. Father always formally transferred his property to the qualified and selected male and I had to be the priest in the middle negotiating the transaction! Men have had too long to ruin the planet and perhaps it is time to let the female spirit restore the right side of the brain in humans. It’s time to act like who we all really are despite what divides us.

The physical sun has always fascinated human beings. It “rises” in the east to bring its warmth, light and “sets” in the west, plunging the world into darkness with all associated insecurities and dangers. It was truly a miracle and a very welcome relief when every morning the Sun rose from the land of the dead to bring its light and protection for one more day. Its cycles and apparent movement through the constellations has told the story of humanity for thousands of years, with all our hopes and fears. The physical Sun has been much of the inspiration for the spiritual son mythologies.

We are all sun worshipers / child at heart.
