Simply put, the better the cut, the more it will shine. Gemologists suggest that you should always go for the best cut grade within your budget.
When your diamond is well cut, light will enter from the table and travel to your pavilion. It will appear as if your diamond is glowing from within and reflecting light back into your eyes. But in a poorly cut diamond, light seems to leak in from the bottom and sides. If it has been cut poorly, your diamond may appear dull, even if it is of perfect color and clarity grade.
