Did you ever ponder the question in the title above? Is it something to speculate? Is it necessary to take any action? Is the young generation seriously in trouble? Read on to find out.

As you would reflect, the attention span of the young generation is more on their cell phones or GPS, whether they are driving or traveling by bus, taxi or train.

Today, more and more young people rely on Google maps for street directions. Gone are the days when people looked up street signs, block numbers, and building numbers to locate a new or unknown address.

Whereas in the good old days, people’s perspective focused more on the environment here and there, gaining insight into a broader scope, with the invention of cell phones, GPS, and Google maps, the perspectives of young people are limited to these small screens instead of capturing a larger view of the environment.

So I would say yes, Google is restricting the attention span of young people. Is it necessary to take any action to broaden the perspective of the young generation?

Well, when you know the directions, you can be free, look around you, enjoy mother nature and the environment, breathe and get fresh air. So they don’t always have to search for Google maps on their mobile phones. In fact, they may experience a broader spectrum while driving or traveling.

So if they need to Google just for a little bit of their time, that’s still fine. Because most of the time young people with cell phones will go to school and that is something they are used to and they would definitely have the option to look around, drive and enjoy the outdoor scenes and landscapes.

As a result, it’s really not an alarming thing. After all, this is the age of the millennium and many inventions are being made. Youngsters need to stay up to date with all the modern apps and devices. All older people do the same thing. Everyone must be well informed and up to date with the modern day and keep pace with the current world.

So if the young generation is spending some of their time on Google maps on confined screens to locate new addresses, so be it. They deserve that freedom and that privilege. They are not doing anything wrong but doing something with more accuracy and precision. And that is something that the modern millennium is about. Do not you believe it?
