What is Strep Throat?
What is strep throat? Strep throat, also known as oral throat infection is an illness caused by bacteria called Streptococcus pneumoniae. It can result from a simple cold or flu. Sometimes strep throat can be a complication of another illness such as a heart or kidney infection, or it may indicate a more serious condition.
A simple exam by a doctor will answer the question of what is strepsils. Your doctor will examine your throat with a fine tooth comb to find any evidence of a sore throat accompanied by fever, aches and pains. If you have allergies, your doctor will likely test you for allergies to various foods, environmental conditions, medications, plastics, and other substances. You will probably be asked to avoid certain foods until you have had the test done and get checked out again. After the tests, your doctor will prescribe an antibiotic to treat the infection. The antibiotics help to reduce the swelling and sooth the pain of the sore throat.
Most of the time, strepsils are easy to clear up and go away on their own. However, if you have a persistent problem with strepsils, you might need something stronger and a little stronger than just an antibiotic. There are a variety of over-the-counter remedies that you can use to get rid of your sore throats. One of the strongest remedies is an over-the-counter decongestant that contains triphala. Triphala is extremely effective at stopping the progress of a strep infection, and it works by physically blocking the virus from moving deeper into the throat to cause more problems.
