London is a huge city, it is at the forefront of modern culture. It is a leader in fashion, art and entertainment. The city also boasts charming traditional elements, from red double-decker buses to beautifully designed old buildings. It’s a city for everyone – kids marvel at their favorite pop stars at Madam Tussauds. Young adults enjoy the bright lights and cutting edge nightlife of Piccadilly Circus and the West End. Older visitors love to take in the rich culture by visiting places like Buckingham Palace.

You can get around the city in one of the iconic black cabs that provide a very spacious and comfortable ride, or take a city tour on a double-decker bus. The London Underground system is also a very convenient mode of transport, there are day passes that make long journeys very inexpensive. The climate is milder than in much of the UK, so it is often pleasant enough for a stroll through the streets as well. The charming architecture of the old buildings is combined with the lively street performers of Covent Gardens for a perfect afternoon stroll.

Although it is a busy city, London has an excellent tourist infrastructure. A great way to start your day is to hop on the London Eye. Located just south of the River Thames, it offers an incredible view of the entire city. It is centrally located and close to many more tourist attractions. In summer, why not continue strolling across London Bridge towards the Houses of Parliament? In winter you can take refuge in a traditional English pub.

A trip to London wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guard. Nearby Hyde Park is an excellent place to stroll and escape the crowds elsewhere. There are literally hundreds of attractions that make London one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.
