Everyone has heard of Facetime by now. That television commercial with the grandfather greeting his grandchildren, the father in a hotel watching his baby smile and greet him. Facetime has brought videophones into prime time by making them easy to use and completely free. What Apple’s TV ads don’t show are those lonely couples who have to be painfully apart for long periods of time. Long distance relationships are hard, but Facetime could be a great tool to bring couples closer.
Let’s face it, we’ve all talked dirty or sent a naughty text to our significant other at some point. On those nights when both of you are in bed, miles apart, what better than seeing them by your side. People have used Skype chat for years on their laptops, but clunky laptops get in the way, screen savers pop up, and you’re in that awkward position where your elbow takes all the weight. It is not efficient. This is where smartphones like iPhone and Android phones come in handy.
Imagine you’re on your phone, the conversation gets a little naughty, you’re both in the mood, and the classic question comes up: “So… what are you wearing?” What if you could display them at the click of a button? Facetime makes it possible and super simple – here’s how it works:
- During the phone call, a new camera-shaped icon appears on the phone.
- Click on this icon
- The other caller is asked if they will accept your Facetime request
- Ready! Your partner is on your phone screen and you appear on theirs.
We’ve interviewed hundreds of couples with iPhones and other smartphones. Many have said that they have tried Facetime Sex chat and love it. Others say no, but are very interested. The reality is that the technology is there. People just need to click on that icon and start using it. Of those we interviewed, once they tried it they were hooked. They were not only enjoying phone sex much more than before, but they were having it more often!
