The horror of Peyronie’s disease

Peyronie’s disease is a real surprise to any man who has it.

When a man gets Peyronie’s disease, it usually happens in the middle of his life or later. It can be a very scary and traumatic experience for any man.

His erections begin to flex uncontrollably. And then they keep bending more and more until sexual intercourse is not possible and the erection itself becomes extremely painful.

It’s not a disease

It is very important for a man to understand what is happening to his penis and why. Then he can sensibly remedy the situation and not have to worry about it happening again.

First: Peyronie’s disease is not a true “disease.” It is actually a very simple condition, like a broken leg, that is easy to remedy 99.99% of the time without penile surgery, penile injections, or medication.

It simply got the name “disease” because it got its name from the man who discovered why so many penises were “mysteriously” like that. (This was in 1743. The man was Francois de la Peyronie. Everything was labeled “disease” back then.) But really, it’s just a condition.

The crooked penis that occurs in a Peyronie’s condition comes from scar tissue and/or fibrous plaque inside the penis. Typically, the scar/plaque formation is in the corpus cavernosum (the two chambers that fill with blood and cause the penis to become erect). But the scar(s) or plaque can be anywhere inside the penis.

Scar tissue and fibrous plaque are not as elastic (stretchable) as normal tissue. So when the penis becomes erect, these tissues do not stretch as much as normal tissue and the penis bends in the direction of the scar/plaque.

The scar/plaque is then called the cause of Peyronie’s disease.

But is not.

The scar/plaque causes the penis to bend during erection. Yes. BUT, the scar/plaque is really just a symptom of the actual problems.

The true causes

What caused the heavy scarring and plaque formation is the actual cause of this condition.

A normal small scar will usually not cause much of an erection problem.

But, the scar in a Peyronie’s “Disease” condition is usually abnormally thick and heavy. It is often stringy. The fibers are the natural way to make a stronger and tougher scar.

Most men who have Peyronies (about 1 in 100) don’t even remember hurting their penis. So they think the whole situation is a mystery. But is not.

Men who get Peyronies generally have 2 compromised health conditions:

  • fragile and weak blood vessels
  • Impaired healing ability

The weak blood vessels were ruptured. In these men, simply pulling the penis out of his pants with too much force can cause this to happen. The injury can be, and often is, painless.

So the problem seems to have “just happened”. But, there is always a cause. Always.

The troublesome scar

Then, when the body went to repair the tear, a scar was formed.

If the body did not have the proper building materials (nutrients) to heal properly, it would use whatever available materials it could to do the job. This is one of Mother Nature’s survival mechanisms. She doesn’t want you to bleed out.

So instead of creating a thin, tough, flexible scar, the body produces a thick, fibrous, heavy scar that is actually no stronger than a normal thin, tough, scar would have been.

This thick fibrous scar has very little elasticity. So when the erection forms, the penis bends. And that curve gets worse and worse for about 6 months as the scar gets thicker and thicker.

Normally, after about 12 to 18 months, the scar softens and becomes more elastic. This is why approximately 40% of men who have a bent penis from Peyronie’s disease find that their erection begins to straighten after this period of time.

The other 60% has to be straightened by some method or be bent forever.

hidden factors

Genetics sometimes play a role in Peyronie’s disease. Gold influences him.

But, the true cause of these scars is almost always nutritional. Lack of enough proper nutrients to heal normally.

Certain nutrients are necessary for strong blood vessels and proper healing.

Omega 3 fats are essential for proper healing. But, due to modern methods of food production, 80% of the population is deficient in this vital nutrient.

Vitamin C, B vitamins, and adequate protein are also necessary for proper healing.

Most humans don’t get enough vitamin C. Most humans barely get enough to prevent scurvy. Most are deficient in B vitamins.

Just surviving requires far fewer nutrients than living well in glowing health. Just because you’re breathing doesn’t mean your body is working optimally or correctly.

A diet low in vitamins and minerals will weaken the blood vessels and cause poor healing. For 1 in 100 men, this will often result in Peyronie’s disease.

Avoid Peyronie’s disease

A man who has a crooked penis from Peyronie’s disease needs to take a serious look at his diet.

You need to make sure you are getting all the nutrients your body needs. You should eliminate nutritionally empty junk food and eat only natural, health-boosting foods. The best is a primitive diet (meat and vegetables).

This is the diet our bodies developed on (in perfect health) for millions of thousands of years.

Today, due to modern methods of food production, we also need to supplement with fish oil (omega 3 fats) and vitamin C to get these nutrients.

Staying well is really quite simple

With a proper diet and proper nutrition, the body will become stronger and heal much more properly. And, with proper nutrition, a Peyronie’s condition, once corrected, is not likely to recur.
